Request for Proposals Now Open for First 8 Memphis Pre-K Classrooms & Early Care/Education Services
F8M solicits proposals from interested qualified Pre-K Operators in the Memphis and Shelby County area to provide Pre-K services to eligible families in the 2024-2025 school year. F8M currently provides funding for 80 classrooms and will continue to maintain these seats through the 2024-2025 school year.
New Operators applying for F8M Pre-K classrooms through the RFP process will be selected through the RFP review committee and F8M Board of Directors approval based on their technical merit scores in the F8M Pre-K Expansion portion of the application where applicants explicitly demonstrate a need for expansion at the Operator's requested location and the Operator's ability to provide services.
RFPs are DUE August 7, 2023.

Applicants should note the 2024-2025 RFP process will approve an applicant as a F8M Pre-K Operator; however, awarding of a classroom is contingent upon:
a) voluntary closure of a current F8M Pre-K classroom or
b) non-renewal of F8M classroom by F8M through the annual Operator Renewal Questionnaire and review process, and
c) the approval of the annual City of Memphis and Shelby County government budgets.
