Register Now for the Inaugural First 8 Years Speaker Series Event: Nov. 11, 3-4:30 p.m.
The new First 8 Years Speaker Series will help increase awareness about the importance of early learning and provide valuable tools and insights that educators and advocates can use to improve outcomes for children. This series brings local, regional, and national experts together to discuss important themes, research, and cutting-edge early childhood topics, and provide unique context on their place in the Memphis community.
F8M is honored to host Dr. Iheoma U. Iruka as our first keynote speaker at the inaugural event on Thursday, November 11, 3-4:30 p.m. Dr. Iruka is a Research Professor of Public Policy and the Founding Director of the Equity Research Action Coalition at Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She will remind us of the importance of investing in early childhood development and why creating a strong equitable system is important for our children and families.
