Pre-K for All is the first program in Memphis and Shelby County to provide FREE Pre-K for ALL 3 and 4-year-olds in Shelby County, regardless of income. Thus allowing parents/guardians to work or go to school knowing their children are in a high-quality program.

Pre-K for All will roll out in phases, beginning in Fall 2026. Families can expect access to high-quality Pre-K programs, enhanced teacher training, and greater support for early learning centers. Although seating may be limited, First 8 Memphis is working to continue to expand and add more Pre-K seats each year.
How Can I Enroll My Child?
Pre-K for All will be offered at First 8 Memphis Pre-K Operator locations, view all Operators, plus enrollment tips and the many benefits of Pre-K, at PreKMemphis.com.
Enrolling your child in Pre-K gives your family access to special support, wraparound services, and other impactful resources. Children must be 4 years old by August 15 to be eligible.
How Can I Become a F8M Pre-K Partner?
To participate in the First 8 Memphis Pre-K for All program, Shelby County Pre-K centers will be required to actively apply. F8M will share a RFP for the 26-27 school year in the fall of 2026.
